This is a fantastic piece of equipment. Makes perfect 1/4 inch seam lines. Great for getting those angles perfect. You won't regret purchasing this one.

I bought this as it was recommended for Lone Star quilts. I used it today for tumbling blocks. Perfect y seams!
One can get by without this tool by measuring precisely, but this is worth the small investment. And this is coming from someone that doesn't like extra rulers and tools that aren't needed.
The only drawback, regular pencils will not work. Go with something mechanical for this.
